The « Château de Bossey » is home to the Ecumenical Institute, which is the training centre of the World Council of Churches. It is also a hotel and one of the largest conference and banqueting centres in the region, open to the public, with its four buildings, 90 rooms, 10 meeting rooms and a self-service restaurant.
We are seeking a « Sales & Marketing Coordinator » who will be responsible for promoting the Bossey’s brand and maximizing revenue through strategic sales and marketing initiatives. This role combines both sales and marketing responsibilities – ideal for a motivated professional who enjoys relationship building, creative promotion and delivering strong guest experiences.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, tour operators, and event organisers.
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase room occupancy, banquets, and event bookings.
- Prepare and deliver sales proposals, presentations, and contracts to potential clients.
- Conduct regular sales calls, site inspections, and client follow-ups.
- Maintain an updated database of clients and prospects (CRM).
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets set by management.
Marketing Responsibilities
- Close coordination with the WCC communication department, ensuring a common strategy and positioning. Coordinate with graphic designers and agencies for Bossey promotional materials, brochures, and advertisements.
- Develop and implement marketing campaigns to promote the hotel’s rooms, dining, and event facilities.
- Manage the hotel’s social media platforms and digital presence (Facebook, Instagram, Google, etc.).
- Monitor online reviews and reputation, responding promptly and professionally to feedback (including follow-up on reviews, comments with personalised responses, and managing instant damage controls).
- Set up and monitor relevant KPIs.
- Assist in organising hotel promotions, seasonal offers, and special events to attract guests.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
Administrative & Reporting
- Prepare monthly sales and marketing reports for management review.
- Track performance metrics (occupancy rates, revenue growth, marketing ROI).
- Ensure marketing materials and communications align with Bossey’s brand image and standards.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
- Studies in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field.
- 3–4 years of experience in hotel sales, marketing, or hospitality-related roles (experience in small/medium-sized hotels preferred).
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Fluency in the French and English languages. Knowledge of German is a plus.
- Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with hotel systems.
- Knowledge of online booking platforms (e.g., Booking.com, Expedia).
- Creative thinking with basic understanding of digital marketing tools (social media, Google Ads, email marketing).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional and well-presented appearance.
- Self-motivated and results oriented.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Positive attitude and customer-service oriented.
- Flexible to work outside regular hours when required and to provide support to the Front Office when needed.
